DALLAS - By the end of the school year, many North Texas parents will be able to walk into their child's school and find paper chain links lining the halls.
The links represent change, service and good deeds. It's all part of Rachel's challenge.
Rachel Scott, the first person killed in the Columbine High School shootings, wrote about creating a chain reaction - that one good deed would lead to another.
Now schools that adopt the program take part in creating that chain reaction. When a student does something for someone else - that student writes it on a link.
Over the next year - we'll show you how those links are growing. WFAA-TV is partnering with Rachel's Challenge. We'll profile students and schools.
