The Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Texas is hitting a big number, 7,000.

That's how many wishes they've granted to kids with life-changing diseases.

To mark the milestone, WFAA has partnered with Make-A-Wish and is taking you on the journey, too.

Each day at 5 p.m., we'll introduce you to someone touched by the foundation and tell you how to help make more dreams come true.

Now, we would like you to meet Zander, the 7,000th wish. Zander is battling tuberculosis sclerosis. He has one big wish to become a zooker and he needs your help to make it come true.

Here's what you do. First visit News 8 Daybreak's Facebook page, www.facebook.com/news8daybreak, and like and share the post about Zander.

The more likes our Make-A-Wish story gets, the more cool stuff Zander gets to help him find "Chompy."

We also need you to print Chompy's footprint here, take a picture with it and post it to News 8 Daybreak's Facebook page. This way, we have a path for Zander to follow as he tries to find Chompy.

You can find all Zander's stories and more details at www.wfaa.com/community/make-a-wish.
