at the Dallas Arboretum

Stop by the main gardens and stroll 66 acres of lush landscapes, ponds and waterfalls. Circle through scenic trails, seek a peek at upcoming trial flowers and plants, enjoy cafes, encounter unique fountains or experience cool
and creative environments in grand 
scale inside the new children’s garden.

CELEBATE THE FIRST YEAR OF NEW CHILDREN’S GARDEN
11 AM – 2 PM Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden  
Visit with the garden characters “Stump the Tree” and other
mascots, see puppet shows, life-size colorful kaleidoscope,
the power of water, beginner’s garden for toddlers and more!
 
Checkout cooking demonstrations with Central Market
Chef Brian Johnson. Meet News 8 anchor Cynthia Izaguirre
News 8 meteorologists Colleen Coyle and Ashton Altieri and
enjoy free chat sessions. Plus, pick-up smart designing tips
with architectural director Greg Brown.
 
2 PM – 3 PM LIVE ENTERTAINMENT
Hear how to go green, save energy, think out of the box and
recycle almost anything under the sun with music group Vocal
Trash and never look at the world the same way again.
 
ALL AGES WELCOME!
 
9 AM - 5 PM  ENJOY $1 POPCORN OR HOT DOGS IN THE
MAIN GARDEN OF THE DALLAS ARBORETUM

      Nature Puppet Show, "How Stumpy Got His Name" 
      featuring "Stump the Tree" and many other animal
      friends (really great for third graders & younger)
 
11am-2pm Kaleidoscope Garden 
           Get inspired by nature, learn symmetry, smart tips and 
           design make-and-take architectural creations with the
           Dallas Center for Architecture 
 
11:30am, 1:30pm, 2:30pm – Exploration Center
          Plant Lab Demonstrations: “How Sweet Is It?” 
          What plants have the most nectar? Which plants attract
          bees? See special tool in action. 
 
12pm-2pm Incredible Edible Garden 
           Central Market features healthy cooking demonstrations
           Simple flavorful recipies with a fresh twist from 
           Executive Chef Brian Johnson
 
12pm-12:25pm Nature, Architecture & Weather- The Kaleidoscope
            Garden  Hands-on activtity and chat session with Architectural 
            director Greg Brown & News 8 Meteorologist Ashton Altieri
  
12:30pm–1pm Exploration & Weather– The Exploration Center,
                 OmniGlobe Room  Hear upcoming exploration programs
                 and visit Dallas Arboretum's Maria Conroy and News 8 
                 Meteorologist Colleen Coyle
 
1:30pm–2pm Flavorful & Healthy Cooking- The Incredible Edible
               Garden  Demonstration and visit with Central Market Chef

         Special Vocal Trash Performance. Enjoy singers, musicians plus
         award-winning break dancers and see how you can protect and
