If we're heard it once, we've heard it 50 million times. Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo's mantra this season has been to use each day to get better and improve. Frankly, the assembled media corp has grown weary of hearing it, but this week Romo found a way to put a nice twist on the concept.
He shared a converstaion he had with some of the guys on Thursday before his weekly locker room media session, "I told the guys a little bit ago we have 7 games left in the regular season that means we have 7 Thursdays left to get better. You only have seven left. Know that when you're out there. There's not a lot of opportunity left to continue to improve and get better. Take advantage of today because its one of 'em," Romo said.
The Cowboys are in the middle of a long season, and the "7 Thursdays" idea is actually a pretty good way to help maintain focus. Will it work? Check back with me Sunday at a about 4pm.
