Job of the Day - North Texas Health Care Laundry (NTHCL)

North Texas Health Care Laundry is based in Grand Prairie, and serves hospitals and health clinics across the area.  The company has ten job openings it wants to fill as soon as possible.

Truck Driver: Must have a commercial driver's license, current DOT Certificate, 3 years driving experience, and a verifiable employment history.  Candidates must be able to read and write English, perform simple mathematics, and be able to physically move, push, pull, load, and unload carts weighing up to 400 pounds.

General Labor: At least 3-5 years of steady employment history; workers must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

General Labor/Texas Health: Presbyterian in Dallas: Steady work history, ability to work days, nights, weekends, and/or holidays, and ability to read and write English.  Candidates must also be able to perform simple mathematics, and physically move, push, pull, load, and unload carts weighing up to 400 pounds from trailers, trucks, or utility vans.

Dock Worker: Mainly responsible for loading and unloading trailers, and weighing and scanning in soiled linen carts.  Also responsible for overall cleanliness and organization of dock area.  Dock workers will accompany drivers as needed, and act as the driver's assistant, requiring them to unload and load linen at hospital facilities.  Workers will also perform general maintenance on linen carts, prepare pallets for shipment, and report trailer damage to the supervisor.

Scrub Room: Perform laundry duties like sorting, shaking and folding scrubs, and other items used by patients and hospital employees.

Housekeeping (Janitor) Supervisor: Will prepare and analyze housekeeping requirements of laundry, staff the tasks, and manage daily operation of linen cleaning.  Will also manage housekeeping employees to create a stable workforce, and insure control of operating costs.

Washman Operator 1: Operates the washer and dryers, ensures correct sequence, water temperature, and chemical controls by monitoring the process and computer displays.

Housekeeping (Janitor): Completes variety of assignments to maintain North Texas Health Care Laundry's building exterior and interior, as well as the land and property.  Should have knowledge, experience, and skills like painting, tape and bed, etc.

Shipping Team Leader: Responsible for reviewing and understanding production requirements of the laundry, staff the tasks, and assist the supervisor in managing daily operations. Plans an active role in helping manage laundry employees, and ensures Laundry Workers achieve the requisite levels of productivity.

Shipping Clerk: Must be able to speak and read English in order to fill linen orders and communicate with multiple departments throughout the laundry.  Must have general education development and the ability to read, write, and do basic math normally acquired during junior high school.
