Two positions are open: Director of Construction Operations and Project Manager.

The Director of Construction Operations oversees all construction activities and serves as the primary customer contact.

Work may include occasional exposure to elements like weather, odor, noise, dust, heat, cold, or chemicals.

Responsibilities include:

Supervising personnel on construction projects

Relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

Leading and directing the work of others

Assisting in developing project budgets

Negotiating professional services contracts

Conducting regular reviews of schematic design drawings, design development drawings and construction documents

Developing timelines and critical path scheduling

Coordinating selection of general contractor or construction manager

Requirements include:

B.A. or B.S in Architecture, Construction Science, or a related discipline with emphasis on Construction Management

Previous experience as a Senior Project Manager; prefer minimum of 10 years experience in construction with progressively higher levels of responsibility

A wide degree of creativity

Strong working knowledge of programs like Microsoft Excel and Word, Microsoft Project, Suretrak, and Timberline

LEED certified

Willing to travel

Physical Demands:

Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk and/or hear

Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel

Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms

Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl

Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

 

The Project Manager plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated projects.

Work may include occasional exposure to elements like weather, odor, noise, dust, heat, cold, or chemicals.

Responsibilities include:

Reviewing project proposals or plans to determine time frames, funding limitations, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources

Establishing a work plan and schedule

Maintaining a project budget

Approving project billings and costs

Reviewing status reports

Preparing project reports for management, clients, or others

Conferring with estimating and accounting personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems

Coordinating project activities with government agencies

Requirements include:

B.S. or B.A. in Construction Science, Engineering, Architecture, or related field

Minimum 6 years experience in building retail construction

Experience/ability to direct/manage projects exceeding $10 million

LEED Certified

Strong computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, estimating, and project management software

Physical Demands:

Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk and/or hear

Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel

Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms

Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl
