DART has several openings within the DART Police Department and Rail Planning Division.
DART Police positions:
DART Police Officer applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, plus twelve hours college credit, successful completion of Basic Peace Officer training requirements of the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement, written and oral communication skills, valid Drivers License, and ability to pass DOT physical exam.
Some education or experience may be substituted for the above requirements.

Police Telecommunicator candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, the ability to type 70kpm, and must pass a computerized test which evaluates job-related skills necessary in a dispatching environment.
Applicants should also have the ability to operate two-way radios including base station and console.

DART Rail Planning Division positions:
The Project Manager III position is responsible for the management of highly complex transportation planning studies at the system, corrifor, and project level, and serves as a liaison between community officials and DART Board of Directors.
Candidates should have a Bachelors Degree in Urban Planning, Transportation/Transportation Planning, Transportation Engineering, or a related field, and have ten years progressively responsible rail transit planning experience.

The Planner III, Research Specialist performs system planning and travel demand forecasting functions for DART's capital development program, and is responsible for highly technical transportation modeling.
Candidates should have a Bachelors Degree in Transportation Planning/Engineering, Traffic Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field, and at least three years experience in a transit planning or related environment.
More experience or education may be substituted for job requirements.
