DALLAS — The Metro Dallas Homeless Alliance thinks it can end chronic homelessness in Dallas in the next three years.

On Tuesday, the head of the organization asked city leaders to support a plan that adds more housing and mental health support for disabled people who are homeless.

MDHA wants to develop 1,800 more apartments by 2015 as well as to offer more support for people with mental illness and addictions so they don't become homeless in the first place.
