DALLAS — Christie Young thought she was getting a simple welcome celebration for her first home on Saturday.

But when she walked through the front door, it was already furnished — from window treatments to sofas to bedrooms complete with lush new linens and fresh flowers.

"Oh my Lord! Thank you, Jesus!" Young exclaimed. "What? Is this mine?"

Even the pantry and fridge were stocked with groceries and there were toys for Young's children.

She said it took a lot of work to get here, and she's proud of the end result.

"It's been very hard, but God is good, and he's walking with us," Young said.

Aaron's and Warrick Dunn Charities surprised Young and another mom with furnished homes on Saturday. It's part of the Homes for the Holidays program sponsored by former NFL running back Warrick Dunn.
