GARLAND — An entire community is reaching out to help the convenience store clerk who was robbed and set on fire Sunday morning.
Nancy Harris, 76, suffered burns over 40 percent of her body. She is being treated at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas.
Harris is the grandmother of two children at South Garland High. The school's student council is holding a car wash fundraiser this Saturday at the Fina Whip-In at Broadway and Colonel Drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
