As the mercury approaches triple digits, the Salvation Army opened a network of cooling stations this week, where people can get a drink of cold water or just cool off in air conditioned comfort.

The charity has two centers — one in Dallas, one in Fort Worth — that are open every day.

Thirteen additional locations are open Monday through Friday.
