Craig Civale
I joined Channel 8 as a general assignment reporter in January 2007. Before that, I worked for four other television stations across the country including WVEC-TV in Norfolk, Virginia where I won two associated press awards for my investigative reporting. While in Virginia, I covered my share of hurricanes along the east coast, but I'll tell ya, the spring storms here in North Texas can really keep you busy.
I miss being on an Investigative Team...but general assignment reporting allows you to tell really good people stories. I missed that. It's what I like best about this job, meeting interesting people and telling their story. I'm a graduate of Emerson College in Boston, and I grew up in Connecticut. You might catch the northern accent in my voice every once in a while. But my wife and I enjoy Texas.
In my free time, what's left of it, I'm a die hard sports fan. But you can usually find me at park with family.
Please feel free to drop me a line with story ideas or any comments at ccivale@wfaa.com.
