Be safe as you head out on the roads!

The commute Tuesday will be a wet one as thunderstorms move through the North Texas region.

Widespread rain is in the forecast for the rest of the day. Drivers should be alert to low visibility and the possibility of fog.

WFAA Meteorologist Greg Fields says showers and embedded storms will stick around through the afternoon and evening hours.

“Stronger storms are possible east and southeast of Dallas-Fort Worth later today with a possibility of marginally severe storms," Fields said.

Nearly 100 percent of North Texas will see rain Tuesday before clearing out by midnight.

Temperatures will only climb to a high around 60 degrees.
