DALLAS — It's a nice change, isn't it? Temperatures over the next several days will be cooler than average across North Texas. After that early season heatwave, it's going to feel great.

Multiple days of rain chances this week

Several more, decent chances of rain are in the forecast over the next several days with minimal severe risk. Some of the rain could be heavy at times, and we desperately need it.

The exact timing and coverage of rain each day is hard to determine this week. Basically it'll depend on where storms form, where they head, and what has happened the day or night before. This means, we'll have to take each day a day at a time.

Bottom line: it looks rainy at times this week, but likely won't rain all day every day each day over the next few days.

When all is said and done, widespread 1"-3" amounts are possible across North Texas. Isolated higher totals are possible east of the metroplex.
