Cooler temps back in North Texas Wednesday

Yet another April cold front will bring cooler temps back to North Texas today. Now, "cooler" means "not as warm". It won't be cold or cool by any means this afternoon. Temps will be around 10° to 20° cooler than yesterday, but highs yesterday were well into the 80s and even 90s in some places. So highs this afternoon will be in the 70s to low 80s, which is "cooler" than yesterday, but will still feel pleasant.

Winds will be breezy again today, but this time they will be out of the north instead of the south like yesterday. Winds will calm this evening into tonight.

Rest of the week will be dry and mild. Morning lows in the 40s and 50s with afternoon highs in the 70s.

Changes arrive this weekend. A slow moving storm system will bring widespread rain back to North Texas. Best chance for showers and storms will be during the day on Saturday. Looks like most places will see rainfall. Severe threat is not zero on Saturday, can't rule out some strong to severe storms mainly south of DFW into Central Texas. Rain will linger into the first part of Saturday night before moving off to the east by late Saturday night. Most of North Texas is dry by Sunday morning.

Both Saturday and Sunday will feature highs in the 60s, which are temps below normal for that point in April. This will make for the 3rd weekend in a row this month with either rain or cool temps. Better than the 40s we saw a couple weekends ago, but not the pattern most of us want!
