To add insult to injury, Aqib Talib intercepted a Dak Prescott pass -- Dak's second pick of the day -- and returned it 103 yards for a touchdown with under a minute to play.
Jason Witten caught a touchdown on the second play of the fourth quarter, and the Cowboys managed a 58-yard drive before turning it over on downs inside the 10-yard line.
The Cowboys managed less than 100 total yards of offense in the first half and went into the break down 11. All Denver did to start the second half was a 15-play, 75-yard drive that ended in a Virgil Green touchdown to go up 28-10.

It has not been smooth sailing for the Cowboys in the first half against Denver. The Broncos have a two-score lead after Emmanuel Sanders' second touchdown catch of the afternoon.
The Broncos regained the lead on a 16-yard touchdown pass to running back C.J. Anderson. An unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on DeMarcus Lawrence took a field goal off the board and set Denver up for the touchdown.
The weather delay may have done the Cowboys defense a favor. On Denver's first possession of the second quarter -- just moments after the nearly hour-long break -- Trevor Siemian fumbled a third-down snap. Maliek Collins scooped it up and set Dallas up with a possession inside the five-yard line.
Dak Prescott hit Dez Bryant with a back-shoulder pass in the endzone to tie the game.

The Broncos marched down the field with little resistance on their first drive of the game. SMU graduate Emmanuel Sanders capped the drive off with a 10-yard touchdown. A second Denver possession ended in a missed 49-yard field goal by Brandon McManus.
Dak Prescott made history, but the Cowboys went three-and-out on their first possession Sunday.
Jerry Jones and DeMarcus Ware were all smiles during a pregame conversation at Mile High.
