HUTCHINS, Texas — A tanker truck fire closed I-45 in both directions around 6:00 a.m. Sunday in Hutchins in southern Dallas County.
Firefighters established a perimeter around the burning tanker and were letting it burn out around 6:30 a.m. No injuries were reported.
Northbound lanes were open by 10:30 a.m.
The cleanup process was expected to take several hours, and the southbound highway was down to just one lane due to "extensive road damage" according to TXDOT.
