U.S. President Donald Trump (C) shakes hands with James Comey, director of the FBI, during an Inaugural Law Enforcement Officers and First Responders Reception in the Blue Room of the White House on January 22, 2017 in Washington, DC.

Former FBI director James Comey's sit-down interview with ABC's George Stephanopoulos airs Sunday at 9 p.m. on WFAA.

The interview comes ahead of the release of Comey's new book this week, "A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies and Leadership."

Here are 5 things to watch for in the interview:

• What does he think of Robert Mueller's investigation into Russia's involvement in the 2016 election?

• What are his thoughts on President Trump's leadership? Comey tweeted Sunday that his book "is about ethical leadership & draws on stories from my life & lessons I learned from others. 3 presidents are in my book: 2 help illustrate the values at the heart of ethical leadership; 1 serves as a counterpoint."

• What were his conversations with President Trump like leading up to his firing last May?

• What did Comey think of the dossier compiled regarding Trump's trip to Moscow in 2013? Trump tried to convince Comey that details in dossier involving prostitutes were not true, Comey wrote in his upcoming book, according to USA Today.

• What are his thoughts on his decision to re-open the investigation into Hillary Clinton's emails shortly before the 2016 election? Comey, in an excerpt of the interview released by ABC on Sunday, said he assumed Clinton would win the election either way.
