Ted Nugent has more to say about Parkland, Fla., school shooting survivor David Hogg.

Nugent doubled down on previous comments he made about Hogg, who has become an outspoken advocate for gun safety.

"The guy has been brainwashed, it's tragic," said Nugent, speaking Monday on the Curtis + Cosby show on New York's WABC Radio. "I don't think the guy can be fixed...I don’t have anything to say to David Hogg. This guy is a lost cause. He is consumed with hate. He is part of the problem, not the solution."

Nugent, a longtime member of the National Rifle Association's board of directors, said Hogg and his classmates are "not very educated" and "wouldn't know an AR-15 from a pterodactyl."

Nugent defended Fox News host Laura Ingraham, who mocked Hogg on Twitter and lost major advertisers such as Liberty Mutual Insurance and Office Depot, describing her as "a great person."

Ingraham later apologized for her comments.

"I thought her comments were well placed to a guy who had gone off the rails ... spewing the hate," Nugent said. "I think Laura was in line. But the left, they circle the wagons."

Hogg and other student activists haven't responded on Twitter to Nugent's latest comments.

During The Joe Pags Show on Friday, Nugent slammed what he called "the poor, mushy brained children" who organized the March for Our Lives on March 24, which advocated for tighter gun control.
