Friends and family spent much of Wednesday evening searching around the apartment complex of a missing 25-year-old girl feared to be in danger of her life.
Typhenie Johnson was last seen Monday evening near her unit at the Post Oak East Apartments, not far from the Fort Worth and Euless city line on Trinity Boulevard.
Her former boyfriend, Christopher Revill, has been arrested and charged in connection with her kidnapping.
Police have been unable to locate the woman since she was seen with Revill, and they admit time is not on their side.
"Anytime the hours and time are ticking, it's a great concern to our major crimes detectives. That amount of time lapse is just harder," said Ofc. Jimmy Pollozani with the Forth Worth Police Department.
Friends distributed fliers at a park near the apartments, and even went door-to-door at some other complexes in the area early Wednesday night.
Jesse Cardenas is one of Johnson's coworkers from a local auto insurance shop who came to help.
"When our manager told us this morning everyone was really shocked,” Cardenas said. “She has been missing for two days now. Usually, this is a girl that was always talking to everybody.”
Police say they got a call from Johnson's brother on Monday night reporting that she was missing and it appeared "suspicious." When detectives arrived at her apartment, they found her cell phone and wallet.
After tracking down Revill when he return to the complex, they interviewed the 32-year-old about being the last person seen with the woman. He was arrested hours later.
"Right now, our guys are working this case hard," said Ofc. Pollozani.
Police are also asking for the public's input from anyone that may have seen either the suspect or victim in a white Taurus on Monday night.
They're also reviewing surveillance video from the area, and conducting a "...systematic and methodical search," which includes wooded areas near the Trinity River close to the apartments.
Revill has an extensive criminal history having served time for robbery and burglary. He also has past arrests for assault, trespassing and evading arrest, according to public records.
A GoFundMe page has been set up for Johnson's family to help them travel to Texas for the search.
