ARLINGTON (WFAA) -- Search teams continue their search on Lake Arlington for a man who went missing the day Friday.
Arlington Fire Department said the man’s family called to report him missing around 6 p.m. on Friday, about two hours after he went out on the lake riding his jet ski. That jet ski was found just hours later along the bank of the lake.
According to family, the man is 43-year-old Raul Solares, a husband and father of three sons.
Family said Solares was not wearing a lifejacket and though they remain hopeful he will be found alive, they want everyone to learn from the incident and practice safety and caution while on the water.
Several agencies are taking part in the search, including Arlington and Grand Prairie fire departments.
A Fort Worth Police helicopter and Tarrant Regional Water District and Texas Game Wardens also responded to assist in the search Saturday.
Before suspending their search around 5 p.m. Saturday, divers were concentrating their search in the area where the jet ski was found. They spent time looking on both land and in the water but found nothing. The search will resume on Sunday with the use of side-scan sonar to help identify areas to concentrate.
An Arlington Fire Department spokesperson said the search is now officially a recovery operation. The lake will be open until the search resumes.
