Dallas police are investigating after the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center received a second bomb threat Sunday afternoon.
The center was evacuated after receiving a bomb threat at about 3 p.m. According to the City of Dallas, police determined the building was safe, and activities resumed at about 4:45 p.m.
A cheerleading competition and Major League Gaming's Call of Duty World League event were being held at the center.
The incident marks the second time officials prompted an evacuation of the convention center. Earlier on Friday, an unknown suspect called the administration office of the convention center stating that he had placed two backpacks of explosives inside the convention center and that it was due to go off in 30 minutes. The responding officers notified the Explosive Ordinance Squad (EOS). Police later determined it was a hoax.
