ARLINGTON, Texas — An Arlington man is dead after police say he jumped onto the hood of his ex-wife's car and then fell and hit his head on the pavement after his ex-wife put the car in reverse.

Police say the ex-wife drove away from the scene but later stopped and called police.

The incident happened around 3:37 p.m. in a parking lot behind a business in the 4100 block of South Cooper Street, police said. Police found the man with a "significant head injury" and was taken to a local hospital, were he was pronounced dead.

Police are still trying to piece together what happened, and the ex-wife is currently being interviewed by investigators to figure out what happened.

The dead man has not been identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office yet because next of kin have not been notified, police said.

The case will be forwarded to the Tarrant County Grand Jury for further review.
