Police officers in Fort Worth were involved in a shooting early Sunday morning after a suspect refused to cooperate and fired their weapon at them.

Authorities were called out to help the Tarrant County Sheriff's Deputy on a traffic stop after the deputy recognized the suspects from a previous call. When officers arrived they began taking passengers out of the vehicle in question. During this process, one of the suspects refused to cooperate and wouldn't take his hand out of his pockets.

Sometime during this process, the suspect pulled out a .45 caliber pistol and began firing at the officers causing the an officer and the deputy to draw their weapons and fired back.

The suspect was shot in his wrist and thigh and was taken into custody and a local hospital in stable condition. No officers were injured during this incident.
