DALLAS -- Police are trying to identify a robbery suspect who threw a 92-year-old woman to the ground while stealing her purse outside a grocery store in Garland.

According to a DPD news release, the victim had parked in the 3700 block of Forest Lane at 2:50 p.m. on Wednesday and was walking to the store the suspect approached on a bike then robbed the elderly woman.

The force of the man taking the purse knocked the victim to the ground, injuring her hip. She had to be transported to a local hospital for her injuries.

The suspect is described as a Black man between 18 and 20 years old, weighing 150 pounds with a thin build. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a white T-shirt with a Michael Jordan logo on the front, black jeans, and a black backpack.
