FORT WORTH -- Two people were shot and one was killed in Fort Worth, prompting two nearby schools to go under lockout.

The shooting took place shortly after 9 a.m. Friday at a home in the 3500 block of Rogers Avenue, near Bluebonnet Circle and just south of the TCU campus, Fort Worth PD said.

Paschal High School and McLean Middle School were placed under lockout, meaning no one could leave or enter the schools, as a precaution.

Police confirm that one person has died in the shooting. The other victim was taken to Harris Methodist Hospital in critical condition.

The suspect is still at-large and police are searching for him. Officers believe the suspect knew the victims.
