Nothing goes together like football and beer, and with the Dallas Cowboys’ season heating up, suds are flowing at the team’s home stadium.

AT&T Stadium earned more than $1.3 million in alcohol sales in August after the Cowboys opened pre-season games on Aug. 13. The alcohol earnings landed it second on the Dallas Business Journal’s monthly rankings of North Texas’ 25 highest-earning venues from alcohol sales.

And with the regular season kicking off Sept. 11 and with at least six more home games in the season, alcohol sales are sure to continue.

The stadium rejoins the monthly rankings after earning just $20,330 in alcohol sales in July, which wasn’t enough to make the list. The stadium traditionally ranks in the top 10 each month, and the venue took the top rank for five consecutive months during last year’s season.
