First up, the latest in a little franchise called "Star Wars." Maybe you've heard of it! Episode Eight is "The Last Jedi." We won't give away spoilers, but we can safely tell you the Resistance is ready to stand its ground against the First Order. We explore Luke Skywalker's psyche, meet cute porgs and see the late Carrie Fisher in her final turn as General Leia.. or is it? Plus, what's up with Rey and Kylo Ren? The film is both forward moving and nostalgic. And women make a real show of strength. Critics put this one right up there with the best in the galaxy, and I would have to agree.

Walt Disney Pictures Rated PG-13

And for the kids too young for "Star Wars" there's the animated "Ferdinand." WWE superstar John Cena voices the classic character of the bull too gentle to face a bullfighter in the ring, so he hides out on a farm. The director of "Rio" and "Ice Age" just told Cena to be himself in his first animated feature. Saturday Night Live's Kate McKinnon and Blackish's Anthony Anderson are among the others providing voices.

20th Century Fox Rated PG
