Q: A few weeks ago the great-granddaughter of Madam C.J. Walker was on your show; would you please give me her name and the organization she was representing? A: Yes, that was A'Lelia Bundles, the great, great granddaughter of America's first self-made female millionaire Madam C.J. Walker. She was in town to visit the Dallas Public Library on August 12 on a book tour to highlight the link between self-esteem in young girls to quality time spent with their mothers. Bundles collaborated with the national parenting organization Mocha Moms and the hair care company Soft & Beautiful Just for Me! to publish a mini book entitled, Trip in Time in which the characters travel back in time to meet with Madam Walker who encourages them to remain self-confident and work hard to reach their goals. Thanks for watching GMT.
