Worker injured after fire breaks out in hangar

LONGVIEW, Texas - A 125-gallon gas tank on a Lear jet caught fire at East Texas Regional Airport, injuring one worker.

The airport worker was flown to a Dallas hospital for burn treatment. Gregg County officials did not identify the employee.

Airport officials said the worker was conducting a test Wednesday afternoon when a flash fire broke out inside a hangar.

The blaze involved a Lear 45 jet at Aerosmith Aviation and happend around 1 p.m.

No word yet why the tank caught fire. The Gregg County Fire Marshal and investigators are on the scene.
